Make it stand out
It’s taken a lifetime of experience that includes nursing and horses, that has given to me in ways I never dreamed. I have been given opportunities to make changes in myself. In turn I use this knowledge to support others that cross my path.
About me
Horses have helped me see my light…feel into who I am and create meaningful connections. In partnership with horses, I have found a safe place to learn, to grow and to heal. I believe people can experience their own meaningful connections while in the presence of horses. I am a student of Relational Horsemanship where the principles focus on understanding who we are as individuals and how our energy is felt by and impacts our horses and others. As we learn about how to be with horses, we learn how to be with ourselves. I have been a Public/Community Health Nurse in rural and remote environments providing care and support for people in cross cultural communities for 35 years. Working as a direct care-giver, I have been a member of different health care teams in remote outpost health centers, community based and public health centers. I have been a mentor, a teacher, a supervisor, a manager and a lifelong learner. I have represented nurses at a federal level. I have been working with and supporting people of all ages my entire career. I am not a Mental Health Practitioner. Being in the presence of a horse can sometimes create a safe space where feelings may be expressed, I am aware of this and is able to provide gentle support in that moment as well in the form of a referral or guidance for appropriate care. I am qualified to partner with other Professionals to support a participant’s unique needs. Experience Overview:
